MIAMI (WSVN) - A South Florida hospital made sure its young patients had a happy Halloween.

Little ghosts and ghouls invaded the halls of Holtz Children’s Hospital in Miami for its annual Trick-or-Treat Parade. The event allowed young patients, who are spending the holiday in the hospital, the chance to dress up and have some fun.

The mother of one of the patients said she appreciates the opportunity the event gives her son to enjoy the holiday. “He really enjoys it because he’s able to get out of the room and stuff and be able to have time other than just the playroom or just coloring and stuff like that,” said Aracelis Ortiz. “It’s fun to have these little events that are going on.”

The children and their parents were also treated to a magic show.

And what’s Halloween without candy? The patients got to trick or treat by visiting doctors and nurses at their different stations.
