President Obama has ordered all flags at half-staff until sunset, June 16.
A gunman wielding an assault-type rifle and a handgun opened fire inside a crowded gay nightclub early Sunday, killing at least 50 people before dying in a gunfight with SWAT officers, police said. It was the deadliest mass shooting in U.S. history.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims, families and all those affected by this horrific tragedy. We are a strong and resilient state, and we will devote every resource available to assist with the shooting in Orlando,” Gov. Rick Scott said Sunday.
In honor and remembrance of the victims of the terrorist act in Orlando, I've declared flags at half-staff from now until sunset, June 16.
