MIAMI (WSVN) - You won’t have to feel guilty about eating Taco Bell this month — starting today, dozens of Taco Bell restaurants throughout Miami and Broward will be giving customers a free taco for donating to the Armed Forces Families Foundation.

Dozens of franchise Taco Bell locations throughout Miami-Dade and Broward began their annual fundraiser promotion, Wednesday, to support the Armed Forces Families Foundation (AFFF), which helps military families in the southeastern U.S., and particularly, in South Florida.

This year’s annual fundraising drive will run through Nov. 22.

“We’re grateful for the support we have from our partner organizations like Taco Bell,” said Thaddeus Foster, a board member of AFFF. “By donating, people are not only helping those families who help to keep our country free, but they will also receive a thank you for their donation from our partners. It’s truly a win-win for everyone.”

Those who wish to participate and support military families may do so by visiting participating Taco Bell locations and purchasing a paper icon for $1 or more.

In return for the donation, Taco Bell will hand the customer a coupon for a free, soft or crunchy, original seasoned beef taco.  The coupons are good for their next visit and are available while supplies last.

AFFF is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that provides 100 percent of the funds raised back to the development of permanent or semi-permanent infrastructure projects to help military families in the areas where those funds were raised.
