FORT LAUDERDALE, FLA. (WSVN) - A former South Florida Police officer’s request to rejoin the police department was rejected.
The City of Fort Lauderdale has denied Jeffrey Wells’ request to be reinstated to the city’s police department, Tuesday.
Wells was one of four Fort Lauderdale cops fired in March of 2015 over racially charged texts.
The arbitration hearings have been underway since Feb. 17.
