PLANTATION, FLA. (WSVN) - South Florida students showed their support to those affected by Hurricane Ian.
The much-needed supplies were collected students, families and staff from American Heritage Schools Broward and Palm Beach campuses, Thursday.
Those supplies are now on the way over to the west coast of the state, as their football team is headed to Naples to play Naples High School.
Vice Principal Osmel Rodriguez said, “So we’re collecting foods, pillows, blankets, pet supplies, anything that our neighbors are going to need to make the next few weeks, months a little bit more bearable, so anything at all that we were able to collect we got here”
Those supplies will be shipped out first thing Friday morning.
