TALLAHASSEEE, Fla. (AP) — A high school football coach in Tallahassee is charged with sexual assault after investigators say he had a months-long sexual relationship with a student.

The Leon County Sheriff’s Office announced Thursday they arrested 30-year-old Brad Casalvieri, who also teaches environmental science at Leon High School.

The sheriff’s office said the relationship took place between June 2015 and February 2016 when Casalvieri was a teacher at Lincoln High School. He’s charged with 24 counts of sexual battery by a custodian. The sheriff’s office said several of the encounters happened on the school campus.

Casalvieri was being held at the Leon County Jail. Jail records didn’t indicate whether he has an attorney.

The Leon County School District placed Casalvieri on administrative leave.
