MIAMI (WSVN) - The National Weather Service has issued a flood advisory for Northeast Miami-Dade County until 1:15 a.m.

Officials said heavy rain due to thunderstorms could bring flooding to parts of Miami, Miami Beach, Key Biscayne, Surfside and Virginia Key.

Up to two inches of rain have already fallen in the Miami Beach area. Additional rainfall of one to two inches is expected.

Officials warned drivers to turn around when encountering flooded roads, and be especially cautious when driving.
