FORT LAUDERDALE, FLA. (WSVN) - Federal authorities are seeking the public’s help in locating the person responsible for an armed bank robbery in Fort Lauderdale, Friday afternoon.

According to the FBI, the robber, captured on newly released surveillance photos, entered the AM Trust Bank branch at 9100 Oakland Park Blvd. at around 3 p.m., and demanded money from an employee. The subject then made off with an undisclosed amount of money.

The FBI said investigators are looking into whether the “Filter Bandit” was involved in this robbery. The FBI attributes multiple armed bank robberies in South Florida to the robber, who wears a dust filter over his face, according to the FBI.

Investigators said there were no injuries or shots fired.
