FORT LAUDERDALE, FLA. (WSVN) - Fans lined up at the Fort Lauderdale Museum of Discovery and Science to watch the premiere of “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story,” Thursday night.
“I’ve been waiting since 12 o’clock today,” said one man.
Afterward, die-hard fans enjoyed the film and how it connects to previous installments in the “Star Wars” franchise.
“Oh my goodness — incredible, I mean the story, it just tied in perfectly,” said one fan.
“It’s honestly unbelievable. The acting is great,” said another fan. “The way they connected it to the fourth movie was … it gave me goosebumps.”
“Rogue One” is a stand-alone “Star Wars” story, set before the original 1977 film, “A New Hope.”
It follows a group of rebels who work to steal the plans for the Death Star.
The film stars Felicity Jones, Diego Luna and Ben Mendelsohn.
