FORT LAUDERDALE, FLA. (WSVN) - A South Florida family held a prayer service and a balloon release for a missing Fort Lauderdale man, Saturday.

Family and friends gathered on the anniversary of the day Steven MacKrell went missing. They are holding out hope and working to find new leads on MacKrell’s location. “Today it’s been a year since my son has been disappeared,” said his mother, Astrid MacKrell. “We have no answers to all our questions, and we’re not getting any answers from anybody.”

MacKrell was last seen July 30, 2015 at Lucky’s Tavern, located on Nugent Avenue and Southwest Second Street, in Fort Lauderdale.

Surveillance video later showed him at a Valero gas station in Pompano Beach, at 2:30 a.m.

If you have any information on his whereabouts, call Broward County Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS. Remember, you can always remain anonymous, and you may be eligible for a cash reward.
