COCONUT CREEK, FLA. (WSVN) - An elderly driver who, police said, may have been driving under the influence, crashed into a building in Coconut Creek, Friday night.
According to Coconut Creek Police, the motorist apparently struck a gate, then slammed into a building at the Bell Coconut Creek community, located at 3600 West Hillsboro Blvd.
Investigators said the crash did not cause any structural damage to the building. In addition, the area the driver hit was the exterior of a storage unit, so one one was injured.
Police said the driver is being investigated for possible DUI.
Paramedics took the driver to the hospital for evaluation. It is unclear whether he will face any charges.
