MIAMI (WSVN) - More than a dozen Miami Dolphins players and cheerleaders stopped by Baptist Children’s Hospital, bringing much needed smiles.

They went room to room at the Kendall hospital to visit children who were too sick to get out of bed.

Nurses at the hospital know how important these visits are to the kids. “This is a distraction for them. It’s something that is exciting. It’s something different,” said nurse Carolina Parra. “They get to see players they see on TV, so it is very exciting for us, exciting for them, and we look forward to it every year.”

While there, the team also took pictures and gave out a few gifts.
