MIAMI (WSVN) - Several South Florida students were treated to $300 worth of new clothes for the school year, and it was all thanks to a dedicated Miami Dolphins legend.
The Jason Taylor Foundation hosted the “Cool Gear for the New Year” event in Davie.
Kids shopped at Old Navy with help from some familiar faces, including 7’s Vivian Gonzalez and former Dolphins player Wes Welker.
“I like seeing the kids smile,” said former Dolphins defensive lineman Jason Taylor. “Having the ability, being given the power to put a smile on somebody’s face and change somebody’s life, in just a small way, it doesn’t take a whole lot sometimes.”
Dolphins players Mike Pouncey and Cameron Wake were also on hand to help kids pick out clothes.
