LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. (WSVN) — Walt Disney World personnel added new warning signs and have installed a fence in the wake of a deadly alligator attack at one of their resorts earlier this week.

Officials installed a rope fence to prevent children from going into the water at all of its resort beach locations.

The signs contain four messages:

  • “Danger”
  • “Alligators and Snakes in Area”
  • “Stay Away from the Water”
  • “Do Not Feed the Wildlife”

The safety measures come after the tragic death of 2-year-old Lane Graves in a lagoon near the Grand Floridian Resort, Tuesday night. Officials searched the water for hours before finding the toddler’s body.

Disney officials said the new barriers are temporary while they work on a permanent, long-term solution.
