DEERFIELD BEACH (WSVN) — Deerfield Beach High School had to be placed on lockdown due to a reported suspicious person on campus.
Broward County Sheriff’s Office deputies, with guns drawn, were spotted conducting a search of the school and an apartment complex just east of the school, at around 9 a.m., Wednesday.
Though they did a search of the campus, deputies found no one suspicious, and the lockdown has since been lifted.
Nearby Quiet Waters elementary school was also locked down earlier.
