DAVIE, FLA. (WSVN) - A family was burned out of their Davie home, Wednesday.
The blaze began near Davie Road and Southwest 39th Court.
According to officials, heavy flames gutted one of the bedrooms when fire crews arrived, but they were able to get ahead of it.
“We were able to get in, knock the fire down pretty quick,” said Davie Fire Department Battalion Chief Robert Diferdinando. “The fire was pretty extensive inside, but we were able to move around and get a lot of the fire knocked down pretty quick, before the roof collapsed or anything like that.”
Nobody was reportedly home at the time.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
