FORT LAUDERDALE, FLA. (WSVN) - A South Florida teen accused of robbing his neighbors appeared in court, Thursday morning.

The 17-year-old is being held on 21 days juvenile detention, while the court decides whether to try him as a juvenile or an adult.

Broward Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested the South Broward High School student on Wednesday, after, investigators said, he was caught on surveillance camera breaking into a home in Dania Beach, just seven blocks away from his house, July 26.

A 12-year-old who was home alone in the house called 911.
