COOPER CITY, Fla. (WSVN) — A dog found abused and abandoned in a cage is on the road to recovery at a South Florida animal hospital.

New video of Miracle recovering at the Veterinary Specialists of South Florida in Cooper City shows the canine’s condition slowly progressing. The dachshund is now being fed with a syringe and has started to move around and breathe on her own.

Miracle was found in a cage on the side of the road in Opa-locka, last week. She had a fractured skull and couldn’t use her front paws.

Vets named her Miracle because, they said, it’s a miracle she survived.
