MIAMI BEACH, FLA. (WSVN) - Two bicyclists crashed into an elderly pedestrian during Critical Mass on Miami Beach, Friday night.

According to Miami Beach Police, the cyclists were riding west along 71st Street and Bay Drive when the collision occurred.

The bicyclists said the man walked into the riding path. “The old man tried to be brave, tried to cut in front of everybody. There were about 40 or 50 bikes,” said Ray, one of the cyclists. “Cause he’s seen it. He was stopped. He was going, he was, like, playing cat and mouse.”

The pedestrian was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital due to his age. No cyclists were hurt.

The wheel of one bike was damaged in the process.
