KEY WEST, FLA. (WSVN) - A group of Cuban migrants have been reunited with relatives in South Florida.

The group was taken to Church World Services in Doral, after landing in Key West, early Sunday morning.

“Twenty-five hours of rough waters, but we were able to navigate,” said Adam Gonzales, speaking Spanish. “There’s 19 of us, and we all made it safe and sound.”

“The boat was named Mercy,” said Raudel Sarmiento, speaking Spanish. “I don’t know what they did with her. The boat took us a month to make. We left Friday night at 11:15, and we got here at midnight on Saturday.”

Another group’s landfall was captured on camera in Key West, around 10 a.m., Sunday.

Good Samaritans welcomed the migrants and gave them water.
