CORAL GABLES, FLA. (WSVN) - Cleanup crews are on the scene of a water main break in Coral Gables that temporarily shut down all southbound lanes on U.S. 1, Saturday.

According to Coral Gables Police, the rupture occurred on the 1300 block of South Dixie Highway, near South Alhambra Circle, at around 10 a.m.

The water flooded the street, causing officials to shut down all southbound lanes from South Alhambra Circle to Mariposa Court. By Saturday evening, all lanes had reopened to traffic.

However, officials still advise drivers to seek an alternate route, as the repair work continues.
