ORLANDO, FLA. (WSVN) - Pulse nightclub, the site of the deadliest mass shooting in U.S. history, has reached a deal with the city of Orlando to be turned into a memorial.

According to the Orlando Sentinel, the city bought the nightclub for $2.25 million on Monday. The city reportedly will not change the club in any way, said Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer to the Orlando Sentinel.

Dyer went on to add this will serve exclusively as a medium to honor those who lost their lives and were injured as a result of the shooting by Omar Mateen on June 12.
