ORLANDO, Fla. (WSVN) — Children in Orlando wrote thank you cards to first responders after they helped rescue victims during Sunday’s tragic massacre at an Orlando nightclub.
The Orlando Police Department tweeted photos Wednesday saying tons of notes were dropped off near the site of the shootings.
One of the notes written by a boy named Joshua said, “Dear lifesaver, Thank you for putting your life first! Especially during this hard time. May God bless you!!!”
Another note said, “Thank you, you are a hero. Thank you for helping us. Love, Kaylee”
Police said the first responders were in tears after reading the notes.
