MIAMI INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, FLA. (WSVN) - A cargo airplane returned to Miami International Airport after, airport officials said, a panel fell off the aircraft during takeoff, Friday evening.
According to officals, the airport tower notified the crew of the Centurion 747 that a panel had fallen off of the aircraft and onto the runway.
The plane returned to the airport within 15 minutes and taxied over to a concourse area off of Northwest 36th Street and 47th Avenue.
Crews are inspecting the plane and checking to see if debris has fallen in the area.
