PEMBROKE PINES, FLA. (WSVN) - A South Florida Chinese restaurant got a special delivery, Wednesday.

7Skyforce HD flew over the scene near Southwest 66th Avenue and Pembroke Pines Road in Pembroke Pines after an SUV smashed into the restaurant.

The impact broke through the front glass, and now employees are forced to board up the store front.

The driver, Idania Estevez, said that her brakes gave out. “I knew that I was going to keep going forward, and I said, ‘Oh, what’s happening?’ I tried to brake, and I couldn’t.”

Surveillance video inside the restaurant caught the crash on camera. “I was picking up the food from the restaurant, and I tried to park, and I couldn’t get the brakes to stop,” Estevez said, “and then I tried and I tried until I hit the glass, and then I thank God that I was able to back it up.”

Glass could be seen shattered inside the business and outside on the curb. Estevez’s mother was in the passenger seat at the time of the crash but is OK.

“My mom’s a little nervous because she’s old and half crippled, but it’s OK,” she said.

No customers were inside at the time of the crash.

No injuries were reported.

The business remains open.
