FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (AP) — The FBI in Broward County is offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of a bank robber dubbed the “tie-dyed bandit.”
The FBI says in a news release Wednesday that the suspect is believed to have robbed or attempted to rob at least four banks at gunpoint in the Fort Lauderdale area between April and June.
Agents named him the “tie-dyed bandit” because it’s believed a dye pack in a bag of stolen money went off in his getaway car in one of the robberies.
The FBI says the robber was driving an older model Toyota Corolla that may have dye stains inside. He’s considered armed and dangerous.
