NORTH LAUDERDALE, FLA. (WSVN) - Broward Sheriff’s Office detectives seek the public’s help in finding three men whom they said, stole several expensive power tools from a Home Depot in North Lauderdale.

According to investigators, the subjects were seen on surveillance video entering the Home Depot along the 1100 block of State Road 7, Dec. 6.

“The video shows three individuals walking into the business, and at some point, they retrieve a shopping cart,” said BSO spokesperson Gerdy St. Louis.

Authorities said the trio then loaded about 10 power drills in the cart.

“Detectives say then surveillance video shows them exiting the business with the power drills,” said St. Louis, “and at no time did they attempt to pay for these items.”

BSO investigators said no one at the store stopped the thieves from leaving the Home Depot with the stolen power tools in tow.

“You actually see them casually walk out of the business. They don’t stop, just walk out of the business,” said St. Louis.

Officials said the men stole thousands of dollars worth of tools.

“Detectives are saying it’s approximately $2,800 worth of items that they stole out of this business,” said St. Louis.

When the subjects made it outside the business, detectives said, they placed the goods in a dark colored four-door vehicle. There was a fourth person in the vehicle.

The vehicle was last seen exiting the shopping plaza, located near South State Road 7 and Southwest 12th Street.

Detectives are asking anyone who was at the store when the crime happened to come forward.

“[We’re asking], if any customer saw anything or remembers anything, to give us a call,” said St. Louis.

If you have any information on this theft or the subjects’ whereabouts, call Broward County Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS. Remember, you can always remain anonymous, and you may be eligible for a reward of up to $5,000.
