WESTON, FLA. (WSVN) - - A South Florida high school has been given the all clear after a student spotted a suspicious item.

Broward Sheriff’s Office deputies arrived to Cypress Bay High School, located at 18600 Vista Park Blvd., Tuesday morning.

The school was placed on lockdown, which was then downgraded to secure status.

According to BSO, no weapons or any other threatening items were found.

Classes resumed at the school.

BSO’s Threat Management Unit will continue to investigate this incident.
