PEMBROKE PINES, FLA. (WSVN) - A person has died and three others were injured after they were involved in a crash in Pembroke Pines, officials said.
Pembroke Pines Fire Rescue units responded to the crash scene on U.S. 27 and Pines Boulevard, Thursday afternoon.
7Skyforce hovered over the scene where five vehicles were involved in the crash. One of the vehicles is badly damaged.
According to officials, one of the surviving victims was transported to Memorial Regional Hospital with severe injuries.
Police closed northbound U.S. 27 due to the crash but it has since reopened.
The southbound lanes of U.S. 27 remained open.
An investigation is underway.
