MIAMI BEACH, FLA. (WSVN) - Surveillance video has been released of an attempted Miami Beach robbery.

According to police, the attempted robbery happened in a parking lot along 16th Street and Collins Avenue, last Thursday, at around 4 a.m.

The victim, Rose Senevil, spoke to 7News about the terrifying attack. “He come to kill me, so I can’t do nothing,” she said.

Surveillance video caught a man forcing his way into a parking attendant’s booth with a large knife, as he tried to get some quick cash. “‘I want money,’ that’s what he said, ‘I want money, I want money, I want money,'” Senevil said.

Senevil was in her booth when the vehicle drove in with the license plate covered. The car then looped around, and the man forced his way into the booth, as he wrapped a shirt around his face. He pulled out a knife and demanded the cash, but Senevil fought back. “Like, he pushed me, so he wants the money, so then I said, no, and I push him back,” she said.

The knife-wielding robber actually dropped his weapon and picked it up before turning his attention to the register. The man fled empty-handed and jumped back into his car and drove through a wooden barricade. “This guy knew what he was doing,” said Miami Beach Police Officer Ernesto Rodriguez. “We see again, very clearly what he’s capable of doing. Thankfully, no one was injured, but we need to make sure he’s not able to injure anyone else in the future.”

Officials said the man left in a black Chevy Camaro, possibly a 1995 model.

While the search for the subject continues, Seville said, she’s searching for another job. “He [could] come back to kill me. He could kill me anytime,” she said.
