A gala for a good cause took place in Downtown Miami, Saturday night, and a familiar face from 7News’ family was in attendance.
7’s own Ashley Jones took the stage to emcee the 2016 Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Miami Man & Woman of the Year Gala. The soiree, held at the InterContinental Miami, celebrated the organization’s fundraisers to help find cures for blood cancers.
The event also honoring Mairen Bello. The 15-year-old returned to school in February after being diagnosed with Burkitt’s lymphoma last summer.
