NORTHEAST MIAMI-DADE, FLA. (WSVN) - A lockdown has been lifted at a North Miami-Dade high school.

According to Miami-Dade Schools, Alonzo and Tracy Mourning High School at 2601 NE 151st St. was put on lockdown as a precaution after police activity was reported in the area. However, just after 2:40 p.m., the lockdown was lifted.

Miami-Dade Police say a person with a rifle was spotted near Oleta River State Park. Officers and the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission were on the scene searching for the suspect.

It is unknown if the suspect was ever located.
