(WSVN) - A man accused of terrorizing a family after breaking into their Miami Shores home has been arrested in North Dakota.
Police say 28-year-old Marcel Ashely broke into the garage of a Miami Shores home on Nov. 28, where a man was working, and held a gun to his head. Ashely then forced the victim to give him jewelry and cash, police said, before making him drive to a nearby bank and withdraw money.
The man’s wife and two children were in the home as the ordeal played out.
Ashely then drove off in the family’s Lexus and ditched it nearby, according to police.
The U.S. Marshal Service found and arrested Ashely in North Dakota, on Friday.
Ashely will be extradited to Miami-Dade County to face charges.
