SUNRISE, FLA. (WSVN) - A South Florida motorcyclist is getting ready to cruise across the Continent.
Chester’s Fort Lauderdale Harley Davidson is sending one employee on a ride from Sunrise, Florida to Anchorage, Alaska to raise money for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Broward County .
The dealership hosted a special send-off party, Sunday, to benefit kids in the program.
“We’re trying to bring up the awareness for Big Brothers Big Sisters and get those people who are out there, who have the time, to join up with these kids and be their big brother, be their big sister and nurture them through things, and mentor them through things in life that we have but we take for granted,” said Marketing Manager, Joel Freiberg.
The dedicated biker will be covering more than 9,000 miles, 14 States and two Canadian Provinces. For each mile he rides, $10 will be donated to the non-profit organization.
