MIAMI (WSVN) - Four women are accused of committing an ugly crime after police said they robbed a beauty supply store using pepper spray.

Surveillance shows the group of women inside Elsa Beauty, at around 2:50 p.m., Wednesday, located at 2601 N.W. 5th Ave. in Wynwood, on June 22. However, the group wasn’t interested in purchasing anything. “[The women were] obviously interested in the very pricey hair extensions that she has behind the counter,” said Miami Police officer Kenia Fallat.

One of the women pepper sprayed the store clerk while the others stole the hair extensions from behind the counter. “It did impair her vision enough that these women helped themselves to these pricey items,” Fallat said.

The store clerk, who chose to remain anonymous, said she wants the women to be caught. “I was thinking very bad things happen,” she said. “They robbed me. They hurt me.”

Other store owners saw the video and said that store security is a must in the area. “Security, surveillance, all of that,” said one man.

Police and the store clerk are hoping that the surveillance video from the incident will help locate these four women. “After this happened, I feel very bad,” the clerk said.

The four women are described as being between the ages of 20 to 25.

If you have any information on this robbery, call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS. Remember, you can always remain anonymous, and you may be eligible for a $1,000 reward.
