LAUDERHILL, FLA. (WSVN) - Police have four people in custody after a chase ended in a crash and bail out in a Lauderdale Lakes neighborhood.

The suspects have been identified as Darius Wolfe, 19, Giovanni Philogene, 17, Matthew O’Connor, 17, and Corey Scott, 17.

O’Connor was the driver of a black Land Rover that was initially involved in a shooting along the 8500 block of Miramar Parkway, Tuesday afternoon. He is being charged with aggravated fleeing with serious injury, possession of a weapon by a convicted felon and operating a vehicle without a valid driver’s license.

Philogene is being charged with possession of a weapon by a convicted felon and resisting arrest without violence. He and O’Connor remained in jail while Wolfe and Scott were being medically cleared and processed before they’re booked.

Both O’Connor and Philogene appeared in bond count on Wednesday afternoon.

O’Connor was given a $13,000 bond and ordered not to possess any weapons/firearms or ammo. He was also ordered to not return to the location of the incident and cannot drive a vehicle.

Philogene was given a $3,500 bond and was ordered to not return to the scene of the incident.

According to Miramar Police, the shooting involved two vehicles.

When officers arrived and located one of the cars during an attempted traffic stop, the driver took off.

A chase ensued with speeds in excess of 100 miles per hour on the Florida Turnpike.

Eventually, the driver exited on Sunrise Boulevard, grazing a retaining wall.

The SUV weaved around traffic, grazing at least one car, and came to a stop when the driver crashed into a stop sign roughly in the area of Northwest 47th Avenue and 26th Street in Lauderdale Lakes, at around 3:30 p.m.

The chase ended on the dividing line between Lauderhill and Lauderhill Lakes, both Broward Sheriff’s Office and Lauderhill Police are assisting Miramar Police.

Four men exited the car and ran in different directions.

7Skforce followed the driver who was eventually taken into custody by police after hoping over several fences and trying to hide in some backyards.

One of the men on the run made a mistake of jumping Gladys Clarke’s fence, who was home at the time.

“You know I have weapons, so I grabbed my weapon,” said Clarke.

She also did more than that.

“I didn’t open a door I yelled out the window. I said, ‘Don’t come in here. If you do, you’re in trouble,'” said Clarke.

After lurking for another moment in her yard, that man jumped a few more fences before slowing down and surrendering himself to authorities in a driveway two doors down.

That homeowner had been stuck outside the neighborhood with other residents, as authorities continued the search for the others.

“Thank God my kids weren’t there. They go out to play sometimes, so thank God,” said the homeowner.

Deputies brought out K-9s to help locate the final subject who was on the run for almost two hours.

He was found hiding near a canal and has since been taken into custody.

Home security video captured one of the suspects dashing down the side of a house followed by an officer then was chased out by the family dogs.

Police said they were able to recover a number of weapons.

7News spoke to another resident who said, according to his family, one of the subjects ran through their yard.

“I just feel like it’s stupid,” said the resident in sunglasses. “I just feel like the violence should end now. I’m tired of it. I’m tired of going on the news everyday and seeing someone get killed. I just feel like it should end.”

Multiple residents told 7News that incidents shown frequently on the news don’t happen in this neighborhood and wanted no part of it.

“There’s a school right there, a church around another corner. It’s crazy,” said Damian Holland.

“It’s sickening… I don’t even know how to correct this,” said Clarke. “I hate to see it like this, but it’s life, and we have to deal with it.”

No one was injured.

Deputies said the black Land Rover doesn’t appear to be stolen, although they are still attempting to locate the rightful owners.
