NORTHWEST MIAMI-DADE, FLA. (WSVN) - Two apartment units sustained damage after, officials said, a fire broke out at an apartment building in Northwest Miami-Dade, Friday.
The fire began in one unit at the building located near Miami Gardens Drive and Northwest 67th Avenue. Smoke and flames ripped through the roof as crews battled the flames.
Officials said another unit sustained smoke damage.
Residents of the two units were not home at the time. All other residents evacuated safely.
Firefighters are trying to determine what started it.
