NORTHWEST MIAMI-DADE, FLA. (WSVN) - Rescue crews rushed to the aid of two people in an overturned vehicle, Tuesday morning.
7Skyforce flew over the scene, near Northwest 17th Avenue and 70th Street, where crews, along with Miami-Dade Fire Rescue, worked to turn over the car after being pinned against a tree. Crews were forced to chop off the SUV’s roof when rescuing both the driver and passenger.
The SUV was traveling northbound on 17th Avenue when the driver lost control. One person’s arm was trapped outside of the vehicle while it was overturned. Crews used a cable to flip the vehicle back onto its tires.
Rescuers worked for an hour to extract the driver and passenger. Both were transported to the hospital.
The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
