COCONUT CREEK, FLA. (WSVN) - Authorities responded to reports of a suspicious odor at a Broward Sheriff’s Office dispatch center in Coconut Creek, Saturday afternoon.

Officials said the smell turned out to be a carbon monoxide leak from a backup supply of batteries.

Fifteen people were treated at the scene at the BSO North Regional Dispatch Center on Northwest 49th Terrace and West Copans Road.

Everyone in the building was relocated to the BSO Central Dispatch Center in Sunrise.
