MIAMI (WSVN) - Students in Overtown are benefitting from a generous gesture.
Eleventh grader Blaise Pronesti brought 45 bins filled with school supplies to the Overtown Youth Center, Friday, for students who are not able to afford new supplies.
His charity, Bind us Together, collects and refurbishes supplies that have been thrown out. “We donate gently used school supplies to kids who can not afford school supplies every fall,” said Pronesti. “It’ll give them the opportunity to have new binders, new pencils, stuff to write in, stuff to read.”
Bins were filled with paper, binders, pencils, books and notebooks.
