PALM BAY, Fla. — Authorities say at least one person was killed in a central Florida helicopter crash.
Florida Today reports that Palm Bay Fire-Rescue crews responded to a largely undeveloped area Tuesday afternoon.
Police say the older model, military-style helicopter was on the ground and fully engulfed in flames when rescuers arrived. The blaze was contained within ten minutes.
Officials say a large black column of smoke was seen in the area.
