NORTHWEST MIAMI-DADE, FLA. (WSVN) - An altercation between three men ended in gunfire outside of a Northwest Miami-Dade barbershop, Saturday afternoon, sending one man to the hospital and triggering a police search for the two others.
According to Miami-Dade Police, the men got into an argument outside First Klass Barbershop, located on the 1100 block of Northwest 119th Street, at around 1:20 p.m. The dispute kept escalating until, investigators said, a firearm was discharged, striking 35-year-old Williamson St. Hilaire.
Upon arrival, officers discovered St. Hilaire suffering from a gunshot wound to the stomach. Paramedics transported him to Ryder Trauma Center in critical condition.
First Klass owner Rudy St-Aime told 7News the victim works for him. “It is crazy … those young guys don’t think; they don’t think,” he said.
St-Aime was not at the barbershop at the time of the shooting, but he said surveillance cameras were rolling during the incident. “They can’t get away with it because I have cameras, the guy in the restaurant’s got cameras,” he said. “They also got the tag number and everything. [Police] will get them.”
Investigators are looking for the other two men, believed to be in their mid-20s to early 30s. Witnesses told police they saw the subjects fleeing eastbound on foot.
It remains unclear whether the third man involved in the argument is also a suspect.
