CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. (WSVN) — A South Florida charity stepped up to bring a little sunshine to a child living with cancer in Coral Springs.
Drops of Hope, Inc. partnered up with Home Depot to revamp a room for 10-year-old Jaylen Rodriguez, who is battling acute lymphoblastic leukemia.
The new and improved room that Jaylen shares with his 14-year-old brother Daishawn at their home, located on Northwest 57th Street and Riverside Drive, helps support his immune system. The new additions include new beds, furniture and sports posters.
Jaylen and his older brother said they’re feeling grateful for the new memories they’ll share. "Happy!" said Jaylen.
"Happy, great, ‘blessful,’" said Daishawn.
"Excited!" said Jaylen.
"Great, so awesome," said Daishawn
Drops of Hope raised over $200,000 and finished the room in three days.
