MIAMI (WSVN) — The Miami Police Department teamed up with several organizations to sponsor a community event in Miami’s Liberty City neighborhood, Saturday.
Organizers said the event, held at the Liberty City Community Center, near Northwest 14th Avenue and 63rd Street, aimed to help improve health and reduce crime. Vendors checked participants’ blood pressure and blood sugar levels, and they also provided job opportunities and information about crime prevention.
In addition, the event featured plenty of free food and entertainment.
