General Assignment Reporter
Kevin Ozebek joined 7 NEWS in 2010 as a general assignment reporter after working at WBBH-TV in Fort Myers.
A native of Cleveland, Ohio, Kevin got his start in television at WOUB-TV in Athens, Ohio where he served as reporter, producer and anchor.
While at 7 News, Kevin has been on the front-line of major stories across the country and around the world. He extensively covered the aftermath of the shooting of Trayvon Martin, and provided updates from the courthouse everyday during the George Zimmerman Trial. After the tragedies of the Newtown Massacre and Boston Marathon Bombings, Kevin brought viewers in South Florida developments as the unfolded live from the scene.
In 2012, Kevin reported live from Beirut, Lebanon after a car bomb exploded and killed and a top Lebanese security official.
As an avid Tweeter and Instagrammer, Kevin was honored by the students of Christopher Columbus High School as the journalist with the “Best Use of Social Media.”
A member of Kappa Tau Alpha, a journalism honor society, Kevin graduated Summa Cum Laude from Ohio University.
