Here's a little something for those of you who like cooking with fresh herbs. It's going to save time and when you don't have the herbs on hand, you always have them on hand because you prep them in advance. How? I'm going to show you.

I have fresh basil here and what I do is I just take the leaves, I have my handy dandy ice tray here. Just tear them up, dump them in. You can use your favorite herbs.

In this tray there's basil, oregano and chives and instead of filling up with water, you fill it up with olive oil. See where I'm going with this?

Just put it right in the freezer and let the freezer do the rest of the work.

So the freezer did all the work for us. Just grab a butter knife and just go in and kind of loosen it up.

Pop it out, drop it in your pan and there you go!
