PLANTATION, Fla. (WSVN) — A gas leak at a Plantation neighborhood prompted crews to evacuate several homes, Saturday morning.
Plantation Fire Rescue responded to the scene near Southwest 12th Street and 46th Avenue, just after 11 a.m. The homes were evacuated as a precaution as crews worked to cap the leak.
It took firefighters about 45 minutes to stop the leak. Officials said they had to dig up the pipe, expose it and then plug it.
