CAIRO (AP) — A Hamas official says the group has agreed to extend a cease-fire with Israel.
Senior Hamas member Izzat al-Rishq said Wednesday that Hamas agreed to extend the truce for another 72 hours.
Israeli officials had no immediate comment.
A temporary truce between Israel and Hamas was set to expire at midnight. The sides have been negotiating a deal in Egypt to end the month-long war in Gaza.
