MIAMI (WSVN) — Officials at Miami International Airport have lifted a ground stop that was in place due to inclement weather, Wednesday.
According to the airport’s Twitter account, all operations are back to normal after the FAA issued a ground stop, around 1:35 p.m., in light of the local and regional weather.

About a half hour after the ground stop, the airport reported 40 delayed flights. including six arrivals and 34 departures; and 14 canceled flights, including three arrivals and two departures.
The weather has also affected the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, which has had 156 delays and five canceled flights.
The storms, however, created power problems across South Florida leaving more than 2,700 customers without electricity in Miami-Dade. About 1,460 homeowners in Broward County have also been left in the dark.
There’s also big concern over flooding as the rain continues.
