WSVN — We have dinner, clothing and even massages delivered to our front door. The latest trend in delivery is groceries. Tonight, we take a look at Groceries to Go.

Between work, school, the family and your social life, who really wants to spend an hour at the grocery store? Jeff with Whole Foods understands.

Jeff, Whole Foods: "These are folks that are on the go; they're working, they're playing. This is an added convenience for them."

A company called Instacart will now deliver your groceries right to your house. It's operating across the country, and now it's South Florida's chance to check out the trend.

Karina Rodriguez: "To have my groceries delivered to my door is such a relief, and it gets rid of a big headache."

As soon as Karina saw the signs at Whole Foods, she was hooked.

Karina Rodriguez: "Instacart does everything for me. I mean, they get me from meats and poultry to eggs, breads and produce."

And Whole Foods isn't the only option for customers. Right now, people in Miami-Dade County can order from Whole Foods, Costco, BJ's, Petco and Winn-Dixie.

Karina Rodriguez: "I like that I can order from the warehouse stores like Costco and stuff like that, without having to pay for the Costco or BJ's membership."

Jeff: "This could very well revolutionize the way people shop for groceries."

Instacart doesn't have a membership fee. You only pay when you order, and the best part: The delivery fee is only $3.99.

Karina Rodriguez: "When you take into consideration the gas it would take to get to the grocery store, the parking fees, it's really a bargain, and it's the best."

And you don't have to deal with traffic!

Karina Rodriguez: "Instacart has saved me a huge amount of time. I live in Brickell, and the traffic with all of the construction that's going on has been crazy!"

Go online, choose your store and make your list.

Daniela Zapata: "I'm here to shop for customers."

From there, your Instacart shopper handles the rest.

Daniela Zapata: "After the customer places the order online, we would receive a notification through our app."

You even choose replacement items, in case your first choice isn't available.

Daniela Zapata: "Get a list of everything that the customer wants — quantity, pounds, whatever it is — and special requests."

Customers are raving about the convenience.

Jeff: "It's hip, it's cool, it's definitely adding to our business. Our customers really do love it."

And getting their groceries to go!

Karina Rodriguez: "In an age when we order everything online and everything is delivered to our door, why should groceries be an exception?"

Lynn Martinez: "So far, Instacart is not available in Broward County, but the company is expanding quickly. You do have the option to tip your delivery person online and choose which hour of the day they bring them to you. If you're interested, the company is offering Channel 7 viewers a special discount. I'm Lynn Martinez, 7News."
